Megadeth and Slayer will join forces to co-headline “American Carnage” across North America this winter. “American Carnage” will kick off on January 18 in Seattle, WA for a 26-date trek across North America that will include the six Canadian dates postponed earlier this month. Tickets for most shows go on sale this Friday, November 20. Ticketmaster is offering a special presage for most shows from Wednesday, November 18 at 10AM until Thursday, November 19 at 10PM.

“American Carnage” is the first time that Slayer and Megadeth will have toured the U.S. together since 1991’s epic “Clash of the Titans” tour. To celebrate that, and in recognition of the tough economic times that many of their fans are having, Megadeth and Slayer have decided to roll back the price of a chunk of tickets at every U.S. show to the “1991 price” of $10.00. These specially-priced tickets will be limited and when they’re gone, they’re gone. Megadeth has also teamed with iloveallaccess.com to provide an Ultimate Fan Package including premium seats, meet and greets, pre-show parties and more.

In addition, Testament, who was also on the ‘91 “Clash of the Titans” bill, will be special guests on the entire tour, marking the first time that all three bands have shared a stage together in more than 18 years, and making this a “must see” metal event.

Both Megadeth and Slayer will hit the road supporting new albums: Megadeth’s 2009 album, “Endgame,” and Slayer’s “World Painted Blood,” the band’s 10th studio venture, which hit stores November 3. Testament’s “The Formation of Damnation: Special Tour Edition,” will be released on February 23, 2010 with special unreleased bonus tracks.

Slayer and Megadeth have already massacred territories together outside of the U.S., first with four explosive dates in June 2009 across Western Canada - “Canadian Carnage” - marking the first time the bands had shared a stage anywhere in 18 years; and then six co-headlining “Carnage” dates in Australia followed in October.

Slayer and Megadeth are also rescheduling the east coast leg of the “Canadian Carnage” tour, postponed from this fall.

    Last Night's Eventful Evening

A lot of people asked me what I (or my friends and I) did last night. Well, I sat down and collected my thoughts and it is best explained in the following text I have just finished inscribing onto a clean stone slate:

What do I remember from last night?

As we rode into a dark, musky, and dusty town.

Well, I remember it was my friends birthday and we all went out for drinks and a feast. The venue of choice was a place called Drinks & Bordello (D&B). Anyways, we went there and it only being a club of color, we were of course in a group formed of all shades color except white. One of the first things I noticed in there was this blind pimp, he was walking around with several of his best ladies who ranged from ages 12 to 46, a man of variety as some may call. As we entered the main dining hall there was entertainment everywhere, prostitutes were about caressing and posing around different forms of entertainment from archery practice to practice dummies to try out your weapon of choice; whether it be a broadsword, battleaxe, or crossbow. The walls were made of gold and there was a constant fireworks show in progress continuously that made brilliant and amazing designs in the night sky. There was even a man who used his bow and arrows and performed artistic, live archery on several living and retaliating targets, this was very amusing to say the least. And in the restrooms which were non-gender specific where prostitutes were willing to service you as you took care of business. So we sat ourselves down and got comfortable we were served heapings of food and goblets of ice cold alcoholic beverages, while being pleasured by the ladies of the night . After eating our fill and drinking until the dawn, we rearmed and retrieved our horses from the stable and set off into the sunset and continued our quest to fight all those who flaunt terrible contemporary fashion and a whiny and lame disposition.

    Machete

I was sure glad when they announced last year that they were moving it from direct to DVD back to a theatrical showing and I’m just glad everything is solid! I was excited for the movie before, but now I am totally hyped! See you April 16, 2010!

Yeah, I know what you are thinking. When I say good female guitarist you are like, “oxi-moronic much?” But, if I say that she’s hot too, you probably un-add me or quit talking to me for good for being such a liar. Well, I’m gonna say it and I’m not lying. I found a chick that is a crazy hot guitarist. I mean this girl can actually shred, yes a million guys and girls can play faggy acoustic lameo, generic, cry baby tunes, but I didn’t think I’d find a chick in today’s times who isn’t from the 80’s who can rock it like her. But man! Oh btw, you’ve seen her before, I’m sure you know her as “that blonde chick from Michael Jackson’s “This is It”. That’s fine too. :P

But yeah, I am beyond in love with this girl for more than just the physical, in fact the guitar skill definitely turns me on even more than her beauty, which is still nice too. :P

    Yes. Hit that. Woo! <3

‘Experimental Activity’ Pretends It’s Something It’s Not

It feels downright mean-spirited to gang up on an indie production just trying to get eyeballs on its hard work, but if there was ever a time to call shenanigans it’s right now.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, independent horror flick Walking Distance (which features Katie Featherston from Paranormal Activity) has changed its title to Experimental Activity.

    Seriously.

I suppose a blatant grab for any sort of connection to a serious winner is probably not a terrible strategy for getting recognition (it’s worked in making some news after all), but there’s also the negative aspects of renaming:

    1. That’s a stupid name.
    2. Now it sounds like an Asylum release trying to cash in on a big title.
    3. Wait, it’s not an Asylum title, is it?

The president of Showcase Entertainment, the company that purchased the film rights, had this money quote:

Clearly having the fastest-rising star in the business is a feather in the cap, but we feel the film stands on its own as a cool psychological thriller,” said David Jackson.

So it stands on its own, but it needs to tether itself to a proven winner. Gotcha.

    The official synopsis:

A idyllic, small, self-sufficient community. On the surface, it seems like the perfect neighborhood. Everything you could possibly need is within walking distance. But… the pastoral exterior conceals a dark past and an even darker secret. As a group of individuals – each with their own ties and agendas with the town and each other – converges on the enclave, strange things begin to happen. Very strange things. Strange enough to test – and then break – the very fabric of reality itself.

Maybe I’m being too harsh here, but it seems like a tacky move (which will, admittedly, probably work). The good news is they can totally avoid being sued by The Twilight Zone, but the bad news is they have to scrap these posters:

What do you think? What flavor are your nightmares?

    Thanks for the poster, Shockya.
